Stories from the road: Aboriginal Access hits the pow wow trail

Beginning today and featuring updates througout the summer, this blog will at times assume the voices of our STEM summer outreach team. Alyssa, Gillian, Melanie, and Sabrina will be visiting a different pow wow (and sometimes two) nearly every weekend through August and they'll be documenting their experiences here. Look for pictures, video, written blurbs from the road about our experiences at all the pow wows they'll visit this summer. They'll aim to talk about  the people they meet, the situations they get into, and the amazing experiences they'll have this summer.

Do you want to follow the pow wow trail this summer but are too busy to make the trek to every single one? Wish you could hear about the highlights but don’t know how? Well now you can live vicariously through four summer students doing just that – their summer jobs involve bringing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math programming to children of all ages at pow wows via the Aboriginal Access to Engineering program. All the activities are fun and interactive, so there will be a lot of good stories just waiting to be shared!
