Welcome to Indigenous Futures in Engineering, Queen's University

We're sponsoring a summer camp bursary!

This year we're sponsoring an Aboriginal student bursary for local First Nation, Inuit and Metis youth to attend Science Quest camps here at Queen's.

The bursary can cover the total cost of regular camp fees, up to $210 per child. Parents are asked to provide evidence of Aboriginal ancestry.

About the camps, according to the Science Quest website:

typical day consists of three engaging activity blocks, an outdoor lunch. a tour of a lab or a guest presentation and a chance to work on the camp’s week long project. On Fridays, we host a fun camp wide game in the morning and water games in the afternoon. To cap off the week, we invited you to our “Friends and Family Showcase“, which includes a slideshow of the week’s activities and the campers will share with the group the highlights of their weeks. Following this presentation, follow the campers group back to their room where you will see all of their impressive accomplishments!

More information here, and the bursary application (a PDF file) is here.
