Math

engineering sciences - math

Engineering mathematicians use things like math modeling and methods to solve engineering problems in our world.

Examples

Engineering math professionals:

  • Work with the math part of computer systems
  • Study aerodynamics - the way airplanes fly
  • Make mathematical computer models some of which allow us to see how fast water moves in a river. Models are just like small size displays of real things

In your community

The skills of an engineering mathematician are very useful. They can be used to build models of how your community will grow over the next seven generations. These models will help your band or tribal council make decisions about housing, education, and medical needs.
