Automotive engineering

Automotive engineers design, build, maintain, and operate vehicles.

Examples:

Automotive engineers:

  • Design new types of race cars
  • Develop engines that improve fuel use and reduce gas emissions
  • Figure out how to take apart, flatten and shred older cars for recycling. This recycled metal will be used for new cars.

In your community:

As an automotive engineer you could solve important transportation problems. For example you could:

  • Design an all terrain vehicle better suited to travel over local land
  • Develop an engine that starts without any problems in the winter
  • Figure out a way for cars to pollute the environment less

If you like...

  • Solving Problem
