Construction

Construction engineer

Construction engineers work in all parts of construction projects. They are in charge of the building process from planning through finish.

Examples

Construction engineers:

  • Schedule construction projects
  • Make sure that all the equipment and materials for a construction project are in the right place
  • Test out the newly built structures to make sure that they are safe enough for people to live and work in

In your community

Construction engineers plan and watch over the construction of all different kinds of projects. Projects like new buildings, roads, and even dams. A construction engineer who knows a lot about the community they live in can make sure that the community gets what they need, and make sure that it is done properly.
